Eric Vega
Songwriter
Eric "Enrique" Vega is the songwriter and singer who composed an original theme song for The Fight for Water Film ("Se Me Va"). Originally from San Jose, CA, Enrique discovered his love for the arts at a young age. After receiving his B.A. in Communications and minoring in theatre, Enrique decided to pursue a career in entertainment.
In 2008, Enrique began to land lead roles in local stage productions and independent films. During 2009 / 2010 year, he appeared in six short local film productions. In 2010, Enrique was offered to direct the "The Date Profile," which earned him recognition in the Norcal Film Festival as the runner up for the film critic's best feature fiction film.
While working on film, Enrique released his first album, "Sunchild!" in 2009. He was also a lead vocalist for the Motown / R&B cover bank, "Soul Central." He eventually ventured off to start his own band, "The Ciao Ciao's" in 2010. His music experience also includes soundtrack production for "The Date Profile" and the featured theme to Juan Oseguera's "The Fight for Water."
Enrique was also the host for the Central Valley radio show, "91.9F.M.s: The Starving Artist," interviewing local and musicians and artists. He began a Central Valley cooperative, "The Open Green" which recognized filmmakers, artists, musicians and entertainers.
Enrique moved to Los Angeles and has starred in indie productions and commercials, including live performances in stage shows, such as The L.A. Comedy Festival. His training includes studies from "The Groundlings" and "The Larry Moss Studio." He currently resides in Los Angeles and continues being an active entertainer.
He is also the producer of his own music albums and is currently working as an actor on various film and video projects in L.A.
