A historical documentary over the unintended consequences of an environmental decision that affected a community, united an entire region and galvanized the entire State of California to fight for their water.
"What a powerful movie.
This needs to be seen across the United States and not just California."
Todd Fitchette, Western Farm Press
The Fight for Water: A Farm Worker Struggle tells the story of the water struggle in the California Central Valley through the perspective of farmers, farmworkers and other affected community members who grew up in that part of the valley.
When an environmental ruling causes a man-made drought, thereby affecting their livelihood, they rise up to fight for their water.
This is their story.
"People should see this film... It's important that we understand that perspective of what the 'Water Wars' mean on a really, really human scale."
Lois Henry, Columnist for The Bakersfield Californian,
on the Brian Cox Show
