Benjamin Coria
Music Composer

Benjamin Coria is a trained pianist, orchestrator and composer. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music composition.
Ben studied under such luminaries as Alex Wurman (March of the Penguins, Anchor Man), Alf Clausen (The Simpsons), Sean Callery (24), Adam Fields (Dawson's Creek) and Christopher Guardino (orchestrator for countless projects). Thus, Ben's work is both eclectic and polished. He has scored music for a documentary about Haiti; short live-action dramas including Running Dragon, winner of the 2008 Poppy Jasper Film Festival; animated shorts, most notably for Scatterbrain, Inc.; commercials for websites like GoAnimate.com; and an independent kung fu feature. He has performed as a pianist in the concert hall and on many of his own recordings. He has also provided music preparation services for large-budget features like Brüno. Ben was selected in 2009 to participate in the Society of Composers and Lyricists' Mentor Program. His most recent projects include documentaries The Fight for Water and Bet Raise Fold. He currently produces music for Access Hollywood and Inside Edition.
In addition to performing and composing, Ben is passionate about music education. He chairs the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and directs a youth choir in South Pasadena.
